I have Norton security installed on my MacBook for many years (updated to latest versions of Norton Security). I have recently started getting ' iPhone/iPad is attempting to access rapportd/sharingd allow/block' messages from Norton Security every time I turn on my MacBook.Įven if I select 'always do this action' (from the drop down options) for access requests from my iPad/iPhone for both rapportd/sharingd and then click allow, Norton Security does not remember these preferences, and the messages pop up again the next time I turn on my MacBook.Ī dive into Advanced Settings in Norton security > Firewall > Connection blocking settings reveal that my iPhone and iPad are both allowed to access rapportd and sharingd.
